Daniel van der Spuy was born and raised in Bloemfontein where he lives with his beautiful wife Lizaan and his two gorgeous children, Melt and Melan.

He has always been involved in business management, running and part owner of the family plumbing business before moving on to start his own plumbing business.

In 2009, Daniel was diagnosed with Crohns Disease, the start of bigger plans for his life. After he received his permanent colostomy in 2013, and a week after having his first surgery, he came up with the prototype for “Lazarus” using only scrap metal and his knowledge of the plumbing industry. This appliance would go on to change lives.

He founded the ingenious LC8 Infinity Innovations, a company with the sole purpose of providing cutting edge Ostomy Solutions to stoma care around the world. LC8 Infinity Innovations (Pty) Ltd strives to improve any ostomy patient’s life. With it’s one of a kind ostomy pouch cleaning system Lazarus, it has a leading edge as currently there are no other products like it on the market.
