About this event

Palesa M Matsaneng

"I am the owner, manager and practicing optometrist for Phafuli Family Optometrists (PFO). I am the creative director and principal buyer for PFO optical group, which aims to supply quality eyewear brands to independent practice groups in and around South Africa.

I am co-founder and eyecare adviser for Help A Hand Foundation (HAH), a non profit organization based in Ladybrand that aims to provide a better quality life for children through health, sports and fitness initiatives we help organize in the schools and surrounding community. I co-ordinate vision screening programs to assess and treat eyecare disorders as early detection and treatment of visual problems is key to optimal visual performance in sports and life.

Before starting PFO, I worked briefly as a locum for various practices in the Western Cape, North West and Gauteng areas before settling in Ladybrand.

In my spare time I enjoy watching breathtaking sunsets whilst been caressed by a warm ocean breeze. I often deejay my own one woman parties as I love to dance and occasionally can be found doing my best Nigella Lawson impression as I attempt a triple chocolate mousse cake."
