Sandras Phiri is the CEO and founder of StartupCircles.ai Africa’s No.1 Startup School. He is a business strategist and startup coach. He is the director of entrepreneurship development at Africa Trust Group, the fund manager for the R100m US-based Enygma Ventures fund for Southern Africa.

Sandras is an expert on entrepreneurship and innovation. He has founded successful companies in IT, entertainment and education. He has worked with over 25 organisations and has lectured at over 17 universities including University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University and Oxford. His work has taken him to 22 countries including Silicon Valley USA, Hong Kong, India, Mexico and France. Some of the organisations served include Sanlam, Allan Gray, Big Brother Africa, McKinsey & Co, The Foschini Group and the African Union.

Sandras has a degree in Computer Science and an MBA from UCT. He has been taught by some of the world’s greatest teachers including Dr John Demartini, Roger Hamilton and Tony Robbins. He has shared stages with Facebook co-founder Dustin Maskovitch, Youtube cofounder Steve Chen, Guy Kawasaki, Steve Blank and Clayton Christensen of Harvard Business School. He has interviewed such global entrepreneurship leaders as Steve Blank (Silicon Valley Entrepreneur and Investor), Nir Eyal (Wall Street Best Selling Author), Sriram Krishnan (VP Headspin Ex Spotify and Tinder), Andy Raskin (Silicon Valley Pitch Expert), Panos Siozos (Founder of Learnwolds).

He has worked in banking, mobile payments, unit trusts, IT and education. He has been named one of the 15 tech people to follow in 2018 and 2019. He has been featured on CNBC Africa and SABC 3 and has been a mentor on SABC 1 TV programme Making Moves.
