With over 35 years as a silicon-valley serial entrepreneur, Howard has founded or co-founded over 15 companies- including FlexJobs, PageWise, DealBase, Knowingly (current owner of Gigaom). In addition to starting companies, he invests in early stage ventures and has made over 50 such investments, usually specializing in the consumer Internet and mobile sectors. Howard's angel investments include: OpenTable (IPO), Trulia (IPO), Titan Aerospace (sold to Google), HotelTonight, and many others. Howard also is Founder & CEO of LoveToKnow Corp, a digital publishing firm with over 30 million monthly visitors. His recent book (Free Copy with ticket for all attendants) The Start-up J Curve: Six Steps to Entrepreneurial Success is published by Greenleaf Book Group, and summarizes what Howard has learned the hard way. He wrote it to give entrepreneurs the tools they need to get through the toughest times so they can reach the primary value creation that lies beyond. Aside from starting and helping businesses, he enjoys triathlons, fishing, hunting, skiing and golf.
