About the Speakers

JD Weinstein leads Oracle for Startups VC Connect and helps venture-backed startups scale through Oracle’s rich enterprise ecosystem, cloud solutions, & global customer network. He previously served as Principal of WPP Ventures, the strategic venture capital fund for WPP, the world's largest marketing communications company. He focused on venture investments in tech-enabled companies in MarTech, big data & market intelligence, RetailTech, AdTech, and content. Prior to WPP, JD worked with Capital Factory as a Venture Associate, where he was responsible for deal sourcing & due diligence for the CF Accelerator & venture fund. Prior to Capital Factory, JD worked with the UT Horizon Fund, the strategic market-driven venture fund for the University of Texas System. JD received his BS in Political Communication and Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of the startup ecosystem, JD is a certified paddleboard yoga instructor and diehard Texas Longhorn Basketball fan!”


Nick Spiller has helped over 100 entrepreneurs raise money for their startup. He discovered entrepreneurship while studying at The University of Texas at Austin where he is recognized as Founder of UT Student Government's Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency. After graduation, Nick launched new markets for Favor Delivery prior to the company being acquired by HEB. From 2016 to 2020, he led Investor Relations at Capital Factory where contributed to capital raises totaling $100M+. Nick is now Fundraising Coach at Funding Camps.
