Workshop with Fhiwa Ndou on leveraging growth strategies for startups and communities. Fhiwa kickstarted his career at MassChallenge—Boston's famous startup accelerator—where he managed community and operations in Boston for two years, before moving on to help setup and franchise the enterprise in the UK, Israel, Mexico, and around the globe. In 2016, on a recommendation from one his mentors, Fhiwa moved to East Africa to take on a new challenge. He helped establish and lead Wefarm—the True Ventures-backed agriculture & technology startup that helps farmers create their own digital networks over SMS—in Uganda and Tanzania. While there, Fhiwa helped grow Wefarm from a community of ~100k farmers, to an active community of over 1.5 million! After two years in East Africa, Fhiwa returned to Boston, where he is now a Growth Manager at Lambda School—an online coding program that’s free until you finish and get a job. Once again, Fhiwa is responsible for growing a community, only this time, for a school and for a movement unlike anything the world has ever seen.
