Mark Sowerby is Queensland’s first Chief Entrepreneur and the Founder of Blue Sky Alternative Investments Limited.

Best known for his 2006 Queensland based startup, Blue Sky Alternative Investments, Mark has carved a name for himself as one of Queensland’s most successful entrepreneurs. After resigning as the Managing Director of Blue Sky in 2016, Mark is now in the role of Queensland’s Chief Entrepreneur, a role appointed by Advance Queensland.

Mark is passionate about connecting Queensland start-up and 'scale-up' businesses with investors and working on projects that have a positive social impact.
