The month of August is Blockchain month globally for Startup Grind, with the vast majority of our 350 chapters hosting blockchain technology experts to speak with us at our fireside chats.
In keeping with this goal, we are thrilled to host , Ms Holly Stephens, at our next Startup Grind event on August 23 at QUT Business School. As Chief Marketing Officer at Beam, Holly is well positioned to discuss their world leading marketing and payments platform which is raising $40M as a reverse ICO (Initial Coin Offering) to decentralise their existing business onto the blockchain. Holly also serves as Head of Business Analysis at Prismatik who works with the likes of other blockchain companies such as CanYa and 8x Protocol.

Holly Stephens has been a self-starter and innovator throughout her career.
Holly is the Founder of Triangles and startup and blockchain Advisor to Tech Ready Women, an accelerator and online program from non-tech aspiring female founders. Note that there is a free 7 day free trial for all members of Tech Ready Women to their online course.
Holly is Head of Business Analysis at Prismatik and Chief Marketing Officer of Beam. She founded a marketing agency for startups in 2017. She is a regular guest on Sky News Business and speaker and moderator at technology, blockchain and marketing conferences along with interviewing entrepreneurs on her YouTube Channel.
Holly believes the world’s payments infrastructure isn't suited for the 21st Century and needs to be rebuilt as an open platform suited for commerce, benefiting the retail ecosystem and its customers worldwide. From her experience in payments, marketing and startups she believes this needs to be changed.
Holly worked at Google on initiatives such as Google Pay in Australia and New Zealand and leading The Digital Garage, helping small businesses and startups with digital skills training with the aim to train 2 million Europeans in two years. Previous to this, Holly worked in Product and Marketing roles at Xerox and Mimecast. Holly has a Bachelor of Honours from Nottingham Business School.
