Carlos Greg Diuk is a data scientist at Facebook's Core Data Science Team, where he tries to understand people's behavior using Facebook data. Before that, Greg studied the neural bases of hierarchical behavior using brain scans of humans learning and planning action sequences in unknown, complex environments. And even prior to that, he was trying to program computers to learn how to play videogames. His recent analysis on the formation of love, an analysis on how people interact on Facebook before and after getting into a relationship, has toured the world.
Carlos has a degree in Computer Science from the Universidad of Buenos Aires, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University and before joining Facebook he was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University.
