With considerable experience in sales and marketing business strategy, early stage funding, collaboration and joint ventures, he brings a creative perspective to achieving desired results for each opportunity.

Currently, Anthony serves in the capacity of President/CEO of Empire Genomics -- a new firm using novel genomics platform to service the global molecular diagnostics market. Their state-of-the-art technology provides 100X the resolution currently used in the molecular cytogenetics field and is positioned to redefine the diagnosis of constitutional disorders.

Formerly Business Area Manager for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine for Invitrogen Corporation’s GIBCO business unit, he coordinated and directed their entrance into the new stem cell market. In doing this, he connected a diverse suite of technologies and products ranging from cell culture products and antibodies to cell separation and quality control technologies to provide complete customer solutions. Anthony also helped build Invitrogen’s stem cell platform by introducing tools such as global collaborative research and product licensing initiatives.

Prior to Invitrogen, Anthony worked as a strategic business consultant, directed global sales and marketing activities within the pharmaceutical industry and played an integral role in the design and development of the global competitor intelligence system for the CRESTOR product of AstraZeneca.

A native of Washington, D.C., Anthony earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Fisk University in Biology and holds an MBA in International Strategy from Manchester Business School – Manchester, England. In addition, he has completed post-graduate research in Neuroscience.

In the community, Anthony volunteers for Big Brother & Big Sister Organization, serves on the Board of Science Spectrum Magazine, and was awarded the Trailblazer Science Award in 2005 for his professional contributions to the Life Science space.
