Jordan Levy currently serves as a Managing Partner at Softbank Capital NY and also as Managing Partner of Seed Capital Partners, an early stage Venture Capital Fund he co-founded in late 1999.  Softbank Capital is a venture capital firm specializing in mobile, social media, eCommerce and digital media investments in early stage companies.  In addition, he serves as Co-Managing Partner of Z80 Labs, an Accelerator Fund recently created in downtown Buffalo to kick-start the internet sector in Western New York. Prior to co-founding Seed Capital Partners, he was co-founder of ClientLogic and was President, co-CEO and co-Chair of its predecessor companies SOFTBANK Services Group and Upgrade Corporation of America (now SITEL Worldwide). He also co-founded QSR Brands, which was recently sold but was the largest franchisee of Subway Restaurants in Upstate New York and also operated several other Quick Service Restaurants. Previously, Jordan was Senior Vice President of Software Etc (now GameStop GME:NASDAQ), a chain of 270 computer and video game stores throughout the US. He was also Executive Vice President and co-founder of Software Distribution Services, (now known as Ingram Micro IM;NASDAQ). He started his career in Albany, New York where he worked as an Administrative Assistant in the New York State Senate and was actively involved in dozens of political campaigns. Jordan currently serves on the Board of Directors or as on Observer of several technology companies including Buzzfeed, Rebelmouse, Spanfeller Media, FieldLens, Shareablee, Lover.ly, Flashnotes, WorkMarket, SocialFlow, StrategicCS, Shake, VirginMega, TalkSpace, Cokem International and serves as Chairman of Synacor (SYNC-NASDAQ) and until recently served on the Boards of ZipList (acquired by Advance Newhouse), OMGPOP (acquired by Zynga), KickApps (acquirted by KIT Digital), XO Soft (acquired by CA), HyperPublic (acquired by Groupon) and Huffington Post (acquired by AOL).  He also serves on the Upstate New York Regional Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the board of Hotbread Kitchen.  Previously he was a founding Director of Cobalt Networks prior to its acquisition by Sun Microsystems and GT Interactive before it was acquired by Atari. Levy also serves as the first non-Native American on the Board of Seneca Holdings Corporation, the business arm of the Seneca Nation of Indians. In addition to his business activities, he recently resigned as Chairman of the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation, the State Agency responsible for the redevelopment of Buffalo’s vast historic waterfront, which he led for almost five years.  He is also on the Advisory Board for NYC Seed, the newly formed Stadium Committee for the Buffalo Bills NFL team, he serves as a trustee of the University of Buffalo Foundation, and is the incoming Chairman of the 43X79 Group. He served for nine years as a trustee of the Albright Knox Art Gallery and is a past President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Buffalo. He now serves as Chairman of 43North, the single largest business plan competition ever held in the United States with $5MM in prizes to be awarded and on the Board of LaunchNY. In April 2014, he was named Executive of the Year by Infotech Niagara for his work in helping to build a start-up community in Western New York He was recently honored as Business Executive of the Year by the Business School at Canisius College and was recognized as 2008 Citizen of the Year by the Buffalo News.. He has received the United States Small Business Administration Entrepreneurial Success Award, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Buffalo Alumni Association. A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Jordan and his wife Holly have two children, Adrian and Jacob who both live in New York City.
