Ulla is a co-founder of BAK USA and currently serves as the company’s President and Chief Legal Officer. Ulla earned her technology expertise throughout her years as CEO of EMX Corporation, where she was responsible for the marketing and implementation of the EMX’s proprietary microchip. Ulla’s continuous social engagement also became useful when she served as Chairman of the Nebbelunde Ferring foundation, procuring schools and student housing in Africa and Latvia. She is the recipient of the Youth for Human Rights International Award for Outstanding Achievement in Youth Technology, as well as a Recognition Award from the US Congress and California State Assembly. She holds a M.A. in law from both Denmark and USA respectively, and has served on the board of representatives for the Danish Bank, in addition to holding teaching positions in Denmark and the US, where she lectured in business and EU law.
Ulla’s husband, JP, is a serial entrepreneur and lawyer by profession. JP has established several successful business entities in his time, most notably EMX Corporation, a microchip manufacturing company. JP is BAK USA’s visionary and main strategist and epitomizes the attributes of a true social entrepreneur, having established both Sûrtab SA (Haiti) and BAK USA (Buffalo, NY). He currently serves as Chairman of the Board as well as CEO. The US Congress has awarded JP with a Letter of Recognition for his contribution to a better understanding of Electromagnetic Field’s impact on human cells.
