Mitchell Patterson has been operating, advising, or investing in technology companies in New York State since 2008. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director for Emerging Business at CenterState CEO and the Co-Director for the Syracuse Technology Garden. His work included managing a $5M seed fund called Grants for Growth as well a business plan competition awarding  $1.1 million in seed investments in the Central New York Region. Mitchell also created Syracuse Startup Labs, partnership with an international accelerator based in San Francisco. He a has invested in a variety of industries including Information Technology, Digital Media, Bio-Technology, and Digital & Electronic Devices.

In his role as Director of the Tech Garden, he oversaw all funding and business development programs for a 35,000 square foot business incubator that houses a student accelerator program “the sandbox” and 35 startups. Mitchell has served as an organizer and facilitator for Startup Weekends throughout upstate New York (Buffalo, Rochester, Binghamton, Ithaca, Syracuse, Albany, Saratoga).
