Entrepreneur with interests in Innovation, Healthcare and Education. Created a Health Technology to control and stop Hospital Acquired Infections

About this event

Entrepreneur with interests in Innovation, Healthcare and Education. Created a Health Technology to control and stop Hospital Acquired Infections. Born out of Toronto’s SARS crisis - spending almost 6 years developing disease surveillance systems for Public Health. Based on those experiences we developed a unique approach to Infection Prevention and Control in Hospitals and are commercializing as a solution for Hospitals - 'Hospital Watch Live'. Volunteer and advisor on a number of boards supporting innovation and education. Strong interests in privacy and helping to shape the political approach to growing Canada's knowledge economy. Committed to making healthcare work better through 21st century approaches to quality, safety and efficiency. Startup Grind Buffalo is excited to partener with Health 2.0 to bring you this event.   About Health 2.0: Health 2.0 is a community at the intersection of healthcare and technology. We encourage entrepreneurs to look at the tremendous opportunities that exist in healthcare, aid those already trying to tackle them and foster community-wide collaboration to improve healthcare for everyone. This is not a group aimed solely at techies and entrepreneurs. We encourage anyone who is interested in using technology to improve healthcare to join us. We need patients, providers, EMTs, administrators, payers, marketers, etc to join the conversation. This is an opportunity to learn how to use your tools better, tell the startup community what you need and take part in a community-wide effort to move things forward! Health 2.0 Buffalo is a local chapter of the national Health 2.0 organization.
