Andrew is the co-founder of Yuppiechef, and heads up their strategy and technology.
For the last 4 years Yuppiechef has been the overall winner in the South African E-commerce Awards, beating established players like Kalahari, Pick n Pay and Takealot. They also won a Bookmark Award for the best e-commerce site, and a Gold Loerie for their innovative viral campaign where they hi-jacked the Woolworths Valentines competition and raised R100,000 for charity.
Being a pioneer in the South African e-commerce landscape, and with a measure of success to back it, Andrew is regularly called on to consult on selling online, social media marketing and setting up online businesses, as well as speaking at related events. He occasionally lectures at the UCT Graduate School of Business (and at dinner parties) about bad websites, good customer service, tussles with Nigerian fraudsters, and why South African retailers need to stop making excuses for why they aren't taking the internet seriously.
