Brett Commaille started working part-time jobs when he was 14. He was the founding CEO of Invenfin Venture Capital & co-founder of AngelHub Ventures.
Brett has done everything from being a waiter, selling school clothes to rewiring alternators (not his best moment). He started small businesses selling skateboards, gearlocks and even an international sunglasses brand, amongst others. All these ventures earned him plenty of valuable lessons.
Brett is a qualified CA, ex Deloittes as well as PWC in Saudi Arabia. He eventually worked as a merchant Banker for Standard Bank.
As the founding CEO of Invenfin Venture Capital, he went on to be a co-founder of Africa’s first Angel group, AngelHub. Brett finally raised a fund to turn it into AngelHub Ventures, a seed stage VC fund.
Brett has done several angel deals and plenty VC investments. He is eiter on the board, or advisory board, of several startups and spends way too much of his time working with entrepreneurs.
Finally, for fun he hangs with the Cape Town Masters - a drinking club with a swimming problem.
