Daniel Guasco Daniel Guasco is the joint CEO (with Wayne Gosling) of Groupon South Africa – a multibillion-dollar global operation and currently the fastest growing company in history. Daniel has worked in both the corporate world but also been involved in a number of entrepreneurial adventures. His career to date has seen him work in South Africa, the UK and a variety of countries in Central Eastern Europe. His corporate career saw him work for Vodacom, Nestle, Cadburys and Sony Ericsson. He completed his MBA while on exchange at London Business School in 2008. Daniel and Wayne Gosling founded Twangoo South Africa in June 2010 and Groupon bought the company within 12 months. They have developed Groupon SA into one of the most popular e-commerce websites on the African continent. Daniel started his first business at the age of 12 and is often asked about his entrepreneurial journey. He believes that one needs a relentless amount of energy and dedication to develop an idea into a reality. Daniel says that the Groupon environment is defined by excitement, constant change and innovation - “The entrepreneurial aspect is very much there. He started his first business designing websites and selling hardware while he was at university, and this ignited his passion for entrepreneurship and opportunities within the e-commerce space. He completed his MBA at the University of Cape Town in 2008. Wayne and Daniel Guasco founded Twangoo South Africa in June 2010 and Groupon bought the company within 12 months. They have developed Groupon SA into one of the most popular group buying sites on the African continent. Wayne believes that one of the great things about Groupon is how it reverses the trend of people living their lives behind computers, and rather uses the online medium to get society to actively engage in their community. He believes that this initiative is all about building community consciousness.
