Jody Aufrichtig is the co founder of Indigo properties and the Daddy’s World group, as well as having other varied business interests. Born in East London, Jody Graduated from UCT with a Bcom and passed his board exams with Ernst & Young to become a Chartered Accountant.
Starting his entrepreneurial career aged just 23 he began focusing on property in and around Long Street. This set the foundation for Indigo properties which today includes developments such as The Old Biscuit Mill, The Woodstock Exchange and most recently, The River Club. Over the past 15 years he has gained extensive experience in the property and private equity field and has been involved in developing 12 successful start-ups.
He captured the minds of the media, advertising and tourism industries both locally and across the world with his innovative trailer park on top of the Grand Daddy Hotel. His marketing flair has seen the Daddy’s World brand grow from strength to strength and now includes Daddy Hotels (currently Daddy Long Legs and Old Mac Daddy), Daddy’s Deals, Daddy.O and Daddy’s Dragons as well as gathering a loyal following of his work.
Jody was nominated for Jewish entrepreneur of the year 2012 and has been the recipient of a gold and a silver Loerie advertising award for recent projects. Jody is a husband and father to 4 busy children. He is a sports enthusiast with a passion for trail running and mountain biking.
