Franz Struwig is the CEO and co-founder of iKubu - a Stellenbosch based tech company that was acquired by Garmin in 2015.
After crowdfunding the world’s first bicycle radar called Backtracker in 2014, iKubu was acquired by Garmin. Franz now heads up a new R&D office for Garmin in Stellenbosch.
Franz Struwig is the CEO and co-founder of iKubu - a Stellenbosch based tech company that was acquired by Garmin in 2015.
Franz received his Computer Engineering degree from the University of Pretoria, and started his career as an embedded software developer. After honing his skills for a couple of years, he decided to start a business where Engineers can really express themselves: iKubu was born. During his tenure as CEO of iKubu, Franz also completed his MBA (cum laude) at the University of Stellenbosch.
