Startup Grind Cape Town is excited to be hosting yet another Panel Discussion titled "Hiring for Startups", which will be focusing on how startups can hire the best talent for their companies, how to build good team culture and what are the most important aspects to consider when it comes to recruiting as a founder. The Panelist for this event will include; Brett Jones who is the Co-founder of OfferZen, a talent market place to find skilled and ready-to-interview developers across Europe and Africa. Andrew Mori who is the Co-founder and CEO of Deimos, a Cloud Native Developer and Security Operations Company. And Pivendren Naik who is the Engineering Team Lead at Stitch, an Application Program Interface (API) infrastructure company that enables simple, easy access to user financial accounts.

Brett Jones is the Co-founder of OfferZen. Prior to OfferZen, Brett studied computer science and thought that one day he might work as a developer, but instead, in 2006 while living in London, he fell into tech recruiting and then spent 5 years as a recruiter specializing in sourcing developers. In 2010, he moved back to South Africa and founded a recruitment agency also focused on sourcing developers for Cape Town startups mostly. Brett is passionate about all things recruiting, talent acquisition, and sales. In his spare time, you’ll find Brett out running on trails around Cape Town.
Andrew is the Co-founder and CEO of Deimos. He has grown Deimos into the largest Google Cloud Partner in Africa in four short years. Andrew is passionate about people, technology, and unlocking the massive talent pool across Africa. Andrew brought positive change & innovation to Konga, as the Director of Technology while based in Lagos, Nigeria. This passionate continues to fuel Deimos' trajectory to transform African and Global businesses through cloud-native technology, while fast-tracking digital transformation. A Physicist by academic history, Andrew's personal journey includes extensive working experience across Africa, the UK, and the USA.
Pivendren is a Software Engineering Team Lead at Stitch. He is part of the team building stitch - an API designed to enable better, more efficient money movement in Africa. He's focused on making it as easy as possible for all Stitch clients to connect to the biggest banks in their markets. Pivendren was inspired to join the industry after attending a hackathon and has been an active member of South Africa's developer community ever since.
