Sheraan Amod is the founder of Springlab, a venture incubator focusing on emerging markets. Springlab builds and invests in lean startups that solve real-world inefficiencies. He is the CEO of RecoMed, the first company launched by Springlab that provides online healthcare booking platform in Sub Saharan Africa. He also founded the personalized publishing company Personera in 2009; raising funding from marquee investors and commercializing the company in the USA before exiting it to the US firm Impression Works in 2013. Sheraan has been named as one of the “Top 200 Young South Africans You Must Take to Lunch” by the Mail & Guardian Newspaper. He is also a board member of digital content marketing agency Geist and holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
