Blender Bombs started where most good things begin: the kitchen. A product of Helen Hall's personal wellness journey known as Hushup & Hustle, she began to share her easy-to-make smoothie additions with the clients she was training at HYLO Fitness in Mount Pleasant, SC. The demand for Blender Bombs outgrew her personal kitchen as the word quickly spread outside of her client base.

What was initially a $300 investment has now grown into a $10 million dollar company—Blender Bombs has been featured on The Today Show and now three flavors of Blender Bombs can be found nationwide in about 80% of Whole Foods Markets. This growth couldn't have been possible without Helen's business and life partner, Scott Maynor who was able to witness firsthand how this side-hustle turned into a full-blown business venture before joining the team one year after launch.

Join us on Tuesday, January 19th as Startup Grind Charleston hosts Blender Bomb co-founders, Helen and Scott. They'll share their BB journey, lessons learned about growing a company with a significant other, creating an influencer marketing program as part of their business strategy and the experience of becoming a new food distribution supplier in major retail chains.

About Helen: Helen Hall is originally from Atlanta, GA and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2015 with her bachelor’s degree in Consumer Merchandising/Retailing Management. After college she moved to Charleston, SC and started her first business Blender Bombs. Since then she has gone on to become a serial entrepreneur and pioneer in the health and wellness space.

About Scott: Scott Maynor is originally from Greensboro, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2008. In 2011, he went to law school in Charleston, SC and joined Helen in her Blender Bombs venture after a few years of practicing law.
