With a passion for helping organizations and people achieve their best, Walt has served in various positions between the boardroom and bending his back on the ground level as a volunteer.
His career journey has naturally evolved to embrace FinTech as an area of opportunity to help transform financial services and to improve the financial well-being of millions. He's acted as an advisor/coach for several startups, been recognized as a Top 50 Capstone Project contributor by MIT Future Commerce/FinTech and recently served as COO for a start-up payments company.
He continues to pursue opportunities to help organizations plan and execute their technology-enabled strategies and to forge meaningful partnerships among entrepreneurs, financial services providers and community organizations.

Walt Frye, a career financial services and technology executive, serves as an advisor, mentor, board member, volunteer and angel investor in organizations and companies within Charlotte’s thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem. He currently serves as executive director for the Charlotte Regional Fund for Entrepreneurship (CRFE), which is the public-private partnership supported by the City of Charlotte and Chamber of Commerce to strengthen and elevate Charlotte's entrepreneurship ecosystem. Walt’s corporate career has included years of engagement in developing and putting into practice, strategies involving innovation of products, solutions and business operations.
