This March join us to meet Andrew Thornhill, the Founder of Spotcoin, an innovative company that bridges the gap between cryptocurrency ecosystems and traditional areas of finance.

Andrew has been an integral part of the online payment processing industry since 1999. His involvement with the Ocean Port Management software and trying to sell this software from the primary programming centre of Bucharest, Romania made him realize that online business was the future of commerce and that conquering international borders of payments was crucial to success.

Andrew’s journey into the world of finance continued with the establishment of Global Clear Merchant Processing and newly formed partnerships with banks in Eastern Europe. Andrew pioneered an online gateway and merchant management systems to handle the needs of online transaction parties. Andrew adapted the merchant management system his team created, providing a complete end-to-end financial service in order to handle the growing needs of banks, processors, large merchants and governments. This system successfully processed more than $100 million USD from dozens of online merchants. The

gateway was sold and formed the basis of RomCard, which was the central gateway for all of Romania’s online merchant business. RomCard was implemented by 5 banks in Romania and processed nearly $1 billion of total payments before being sold to Provus, a global leader of merchant processing and transaction systems.
