Duration: 4 Hours/Day

Outcome: Participants will develop and pitch a startup idea by the end of the challenge.

� Day 1: Ideation & Problem-Solution Fit

Objective: Identify problems and generate startup ideas.

Session Breakdown:

1. Introduction to Startups (30 min)

o What makes a startup different from a small business?

o Understanding scalable business models

2. Finding the Right Problem to Solve (1 hr)

o Problem discovery frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup)

o Market gap analysis

o Brainstorming session

3. Idea Validation & Customer Discovery (1 hr)

o Validating ideas with real users

o Building problem statements

o Competitor analysis

4. Group Activity: Problem-Solution Fit Canvas (1.5 hr)

o Each team defines their startup problem and possible solutions

o Peer review and feedback

� Day 2: Business Model & Value Proposition

Objective: Define how the startup will create, deliver, and capture value.

Session Breakdown:

1. Understanding Business Models (1 hr)

o Business Model Canvas (BMC) overview

o Key components (value proposition, revenue model, etc.)

2. Crafting a Strong Value Proposition (1 hr)

o Unique Selling Proposition (USP)

o Customer persona mapping

3. Revenue Models & Monetization Strategies (1 hr)

o Subscription, commission, licensing, freemium, etc.

o How to choose the right model

4. Group Activity: Build Your Business Model Canvas (1 hr)

o Each team develops and presents their draft BMC

� Day 3: Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Development

Objective: Learn how to create a prototype quickly and efficiently.

Session Breakdown:

1. What is an MVP? (30 min)

o MVP vs. full product

o Examples of famous startup MVPs

2. How to Build an MVP with Limited Resources (1 hr)

o No-code/low-code tools (Glide, Bubble, Canva)

o Landing pages & mockups

3. Prototyping & User Testing (1 hr)

o How to create a quick prototype

o Getting real user feedback

4. Group Activity: Build Your First MVP (1.5 hr)

o Each team creates a basic prototype

o Peer testing & feedback

� Day 4: Marketing & Customer Acquisition

Objective: Develop a go-to-market strategy.

Session Breakdown:

1. Marketing Fundamentals for Startups (1 hr)

o Branding, positioning, and storytelling

2. Growth Hacking & Digital Marketing (1 hr)

o Social media, SEO, paid ads, viral marketing

3. Sales & Customer Acquisition Strategies (1 hr)

o B2B vs. B2C strategies

o Cold emails, partnerships, and referrals

4. Group Activity: Create Your Marketing Plan (1 hr)

o Define target audience & channels

o Create a digital marketing campaign outline

� Day 5: Financials & Fundraising

Objective: Understand startup finance & funding sources.

Session Breakdown:

1. Startup Financial Basics (1 hr)

o Budgeting, revenue forecasting, and cost structures

2. Funding Stages & Investment Types (1 hr)

o Bootstrapping, angel investors, VCs, crowdfunding

3. Pitching to Investors (1 hr)

o What investors look for

o Structuring a compelling pitch deck

4. Group Activity: Financial Plan & Pitch Practice (1 hr)

o Teams develop a financial plan & draft their pitch

� Day 6: Operations & Team Building

Objective: Learn how to build a team & manage startup operations.

Session Breakdown:

1. Legal Aspects & Startup Operations (1 hr)

o Business registration, compliance, contracts

2. Building & Managing a Team (1 hr)

o How to hire the right co-founders & first employees

o Startup culture & leadership

3. Scaling & Growth Strategy (1 hr)

o When & how to scale

o Avoiding early-stage startup pitfalls

4. Group Activity: Team & Growth Plan (1 hr)

o Define roles & responsibilities

o Create a 6-month growth roadmap

� Day 7: Pitch Day!

Objective: Finalize & pitch the startup idea.

Session Breakdown:

1. Final Pitch Deck Refinement (1 hr)

o Teams finalize their pitch decks based on feedback

2. Mock Pitching & Feedback (1 hr)

o Teams pitch to peers & receive feedback

3. Final Startup Pitches to Judges (1.5 hr)

o Teams present to a panel of judges/mentors

4. Closing Ceremony & Awards (30 min)

o Best pitches recognized

o Networking & next steps
