Our speaker Mr. Rafique Ahamed, Chief Executive of MAMATA born in a renwond family in Chittagong. He completed his post graduation from Chittagong University. From his child hood he was passionate with sports and culturral activites and involved with various club, national and international organizations. As Lions International leader he acted as Past Dristrict Governor of Lion International 315B chapter. Mr. Rafique in coolaboration with some renowned personality of society established MAMATA, a NGO, in the year 1983 and become the founder president of MAMATA. After that he lead the organization as Chief Executive till todate. Mamata has been implementing 21 Programs/Projects for the attainment of strategic goals and objectives set for in the 7 strategic areas of SDG. Mamata has been implementing 3 programs i.e. Mamata Health Program (MHP), Mamata Savings and Credit Programs (Micro Finance) and Mamata Education Program (MEP) through its own resources. Other projects of MAMATA are TB and Malaria control project, Livestock, Fisheries and Agricultural development projects, Preventing physical punishiment in school and works settings, HERfinance, HERhealth, Housing for poor women, Enrich, Prabin Livelihood development and Mamata School for underpreveliaged children. MAMATA last 11 times achieved National Population Award from Bangladsesh Government Health Ministry for its outstanding services in health sector. For poverty aleviation, MAMATA Savings and Credit Program awarded as "Best Micro Finance Institution of the Year 2017" by Citi Foundation, USA. Mr. Rafique Ahamed also for his outstanding contribution to the soiciety achived many awards which includes Gold Medal for Best Social Worker by Social Welfare Department, UNESCO prize, Mother Theresa Award, Nelson Mendala Award, Mahatma Gandi Peace Award, Banglar Dak Award, Jahir Raihan Srimti Award etc. Rafique Ahamed, a sucessful social entreprenures, is being hosted by us to inspire, motivate all the change makers present in this event.
