Brooke has always been a fitness and healthy lifestyle enthusiast. From an early age, growing up in a small town in Kentucky, Brooke competed in gymnastics, cheerleading and track and field. While attending college, Brooke was a cheerleader on the University of Kentucky’s National Championship Cheerleading Squad. In the spring of 2006, she earned a place on the Cincinnati Bengals NFL Cheerleading Squad, serving as team captain and fitness coach. Brooke was in competition-winning shape and won several fitness titles, including the 2009 Fitness Universe Champion.
Fast forward to the birth of her son Easton in 2010: Brooke gained 68 pounds during pregnancy, and while she was so happy to be a new mom, she was frustrated and overwhelmed trying to lose weight while taking care of her new baby and juggling a hectic schedule. After successfully losing all the baby weight by customizing a diet and fitness routine she previously used to get competition-ready, she began focusing on her personal training business and helping other new moms lose their baby weight.
In 2012 Brooke launched Skinny Mom, the online destination that gives moms the skinny on healthy living. Skinny Mom gave Brooke the chance to share her experiences and tips while building a community of other moms to learn from and share secrets with. Today, Skinny Mom has grown into a community of more than 6 million. Skinny Mom has become one of the fastest-growing online communities and brands to inspire moms to live healthier, happier, more fulfilling lives.
Brooke has had the privilege of appearing in many national magazines and fitness publications including Oxygen Women’s Fitness, Maxim Magazine, Redbook Magazine, GQ, Status Magazine, Natural Muscle Magazine, American Cheerleader, American Baby and on national television, with appearances on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, Fox Sports and 20/20.
Today, Brooke works full time at Skinny Mom. However, her most important job is being a single mom to her four-year-old son Easton. Brooke credits all her success to her strong faith in Christ and support from her loving family and friends.
