Don Wright is the former Founder and COO of Assurex Health, a Mason-based firm offering genetic tests help doctors determine the best medications to treat patients with mental health disorders. Don grew Assurex from technology invented at Mayo Clinic and Cincinnati Children’s in 2008 to a company of almost 500 employees, serving over 500,000 mental health patients.

After raising over $86MM in private equity, Assurex was was acquired in 2016 by Myriad Genetics for $225MM - plus an additional $175MM in performance-based incentives. The large and successful exit was subsequently honored with Venture Ohio's Exit of the Year award.

Don recently stepped away from his day-to-day role at Assurex, allowing him to focus on other pursuits including serving as a member of the board of directors of Include Fitness and the European American Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of advisors of the NKU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the University of Cincinnati Business Analytics & Information Systems, and the Sinclair College Biotechnology Department.
