On the third event of the Startup Path series, we host Benji Fernandes, founder of NALA, Africa's first offline payments application. Benji will share his experience in Customer Development and getting out of the building, and actually speaking to customers and how NALA has been able to do that.

On the third event of the Startup Path series, we host Benji Fernandes, an award-winning speaker and entrepreneur in East Africa. Benji is the founder of NALA, Africa's first offline payments application. NALA lets you make fast, reliable, and secure mobile money transactions. It lets you access more than one SIM and make payments without an internet connection, with zero extra fees. NALA operates in Tanzania and Uganda. NALA is the first East African company to be selected to go to Y-Combinator. In 2018, NALA won 3 awards in Africa, EcoBank Africa Fintech Challenge, AppsAfrica Disruptive Innovation Award and finally, SeedStars Best StartUp in Tanzania. Benji will share his experience in Customer Development, actually getting out of the building, and speaking to customers, and how he and his team at NALA do this as well as why this is very important for any startup.
