About this event

Tim structures and executes business transactions in corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and closely held corporations. Tim has substantial experience obtaining economic incentives in connection with foreign direct investment in North America. Additionally, Tim has years of experience representing U.S. companies in business transactions throughout the world. Finally, Tim advises clients on matters involving export control. Tim is also excited to be a part of the entrepreneurial moment in Detroit. This month, Dickinson Wright is partnering with Startup Grind to make sure that we are starting out the on the right foot.
During the session, Tim will provide practical advice about corporate matters for startups, including:
- choice of entity
- choice of jurisdiction
- capital structure
- capital contributions
- dividends, allocations and distributions
- corporate governance
- transfer rights and restrictions
- dispute resolution and other corporate matters
