About this event

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world's largest celebration of entrepreneurship with activities taking place in 180+ countries -- and all 50 states throughout the U.S. Each November, GEW reaches millions of people of all ages and backgrounds through local, national and global events and activities. From large-scale startup competitions and workshops to small, community discussions – GEW reaches new audiences and connects participants to a network that can help them take the next step, no matter where they are on their entrepreneurial journey.

Global Trade Mission

International Strategic Management 

International Strategic Management ("ISM") has been named Community Organizer for Global Entrepreneurship Week in Oakland County, Michigan. As a partner of Global Entrepreneurship Week, ISM will host a week-long virtual event geared to helping start and grow start ups around the world.

While there are worldwide activities going on every day, with more schedule updates to come, here is an initial outline of the local schedule:

Resilient Entrepreneur Program

We want to take the opportunity to introduce you to our online version of our exclusive Resilient Entrepreneur Program ©. The Resilient Entrepreneur Program© is a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is designed to prepare both leaders and entrepreneurs in sustaining their business activities now and into the future.

The program has 4 components that is offered in two forms: self- education course, and in- person course. The self- education 5 weeks course consists of a weekly release of a structured educational material, and 1- hour coaching session in between sessions. The in person 5 weeks course will be facilitated weekly by a virtual coach, and 1- hour coaching session in between sessions.

In addition, you will experience the tools and techniques that we explore on a full live online platform. We also provide some useful skills you can take away immediately to begin implementing in your workplace with your team straight after the session.

Join expert presenters covering:• The Mindset (Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Compassion)• Me (Me and around me)• The Business (Have, Leverage, Offer, Pilot)• Moving Forward (Communication, Time Management, Operations, Being Safe)

Global Trade Mission

The Global Trade Mission (GTM) provides a unique experience for High School students to participate in a simulated trade mission.

To date, over 5,000 high school students have learned about issues in global trade, cultural diversity, entrepreneurship, and business and technology tools through The Global Trade Mission program.

GTM is made possible through a partnership between Secondary Schools, Colleges/Universities, local governments, and the private sector, and is an outstanding model of business, government, and education working together to address the skills of 21st century students.

This Intensive, three-day, hands-on learning experience will help your students:

Gain entrepreneurial leadership and international business trade skills

Engage with student and business leaders for the first time

Through mentoring by local and global experts

Address and solve world challenges

Interact with STEM related fields (Science, Tech, Engineering and Math)

Create a business idea and pitch it to a panel of judges
