Dr. Leron J. Lightfoot is the founder & CEO of Math 4 Success. His vision & motivation behind creating Math 4 Success was to provide the best, most flexible math prep program accessible to disadvantaged students across the greater Detroit area - to achieve success in math. He believes that math can be grasped by all students when given the proper resources, structure, & a customized program.
StartupGrind Detroit presents Dr. Leron J. Lightfoot founder & CEO of Math 4 Success, a professional educational service provider. Math 4 Success strives to provide quality, flexible, and affordable educational services to all students. Their goal is to design programs that empower excellence and confidence in all students - because all students, despite their background or zip code deserve the opportunity to be successful.
Dr. Lightfoot himself was a student in a disadvantaged community of South Los Angeles. He was able to achieve a perfect score on the SAT math, thus securing a full academic scholarship to Xavier University of Louisiana and a full academic fellowship to graduate school at Michigan State University where he received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering. It was through this that he saw the importance of math in his academic journey; and because of this that he believes, despite the environment, math can be taught and grasped by all students when given the proper resources, structure, and a program customized to each student's unique background.
