Currently heading Google's market development for Small & Medium Businesses in the Middle East & North Africa, Shant is also the Founder of GlamBox, the first and leading beauty e-commerce company in MENA. He raised ~$4m in 2 rounds of funding from regional VCs (including MBC and STC) and strategic holdings. GlamBox was nominated as Forbes Middle East's "Most Promising Start-ups in the UAE" in 2015 and "Top 10 UAE start-up in 2013" by Gulf Business; Nominated Top 50 SME Executive in 2013 by Start-up Arabian Business. He is a speaker at entrepreneurship and digital business events including being a juror on the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Start-up Competition. He holds a double Masters from MIT (MBA) and Imperial College London (MEng with Hons).
