Our guest this month is Nicola McClafferty: Nicola joined Draper Esprit as Investment Director in 2017. Prior to this she was co-founder and CEO of Covetique.com, a leading online retailer of pre-owned luxury fashion. Covetique was sold to ASOS plc in 2015. Prior to this, Nicola spent 5 years as a Venture Capital investor, focusing on early-stage consumer internet and media start-ups with Balderton Capital and latterly Ravensbeck. Nicola started her career as an Investment Banking analyst in the technology team of Jefferies International in London. Nicola has been a speaker at London College of Fashion’s Digital Fashion Conference, Google Campus, London Women’s Forum and Dublin’s Archipelago. Nicola has also been a start-up mentor on the Enterprise Ireland Retailer Ready programme. In 2014 Nicola was shortlisted for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year award at the GP Bullhound Investor Allstars.
