Justin Clarke is the co-founder and CEO of One Africa Media (OAM), Africa’s largest online classifieds group. OAM owns some of Africa’s most prestigious and lucrative online properties, including PrivateProperty.co.za, South Africa’s leading property website; Jobberman.com, West Africa’s leading job website; Cheki.com, West and East Africa’s largest online auto marketplace; and SafariNow, South Africa’s leading travel and accommodation booking website. The Privateproperty.co.za story began in 1998 and sent jitters throughout the South African Property industry and a number of systematic attempts were made by real estate heavyweights to shut the company down. From mid 2008 Private Property changed from a private seller website and opened to estate agents. It is now South Africa’s busiest property websites. Since 2012, the company has expanded across Africa and has become Africa’s largest online classifieds group, focusing on Jobs, Cars, Property and Travel, with central offices in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. Justin expects OAM to grow into a $1bn company within the next five years and recently he was the recipient of the EY World Entrepreneur award.
