This is the first time in 30 events that this happened and the first time a speaker cancelled in such a short notice. We really apologise for this. On Wednesday the 29th of March, Startup Grind by Google for Entrepreneurs returns to Durban with two very special speakers. Tim Strang & Byron Verreyne, Co-Founders of Spazapp - a Durban tech company that has launched an innovative “money-saving” app for traders Spazapp gives traders the ability to order directly from big brands and suppliers. The company has been able to on board core partners such as Unilever & Tiger Brands. More notable, Kingson Capital has chosen to invest in the e-commerce platform. The app works to connect users directly to bulk buying opportunities and business support and is already massively popular within the KZN borders. Tim Strang is the CEO. He was previously marketing director at ProGrain Mills. He also worked at various brand agencies working with great brands like Lucky Strike & Rainbow Chicken in South Africa, and global brands in Ireland and London like Coca-Cola and Opel cars. Byron Verreyne is the CTO. He had 9 years expereince as a digital expert, programmer and web developer. Byron has worked with the likes of Nike, Diageo, Woolworths, Brandhouse, Estee Lauder during his time managing the technical team in a digital marketing agency.
