Introducing Sara Bond & Arjun Kumar, founders of KAI Innovations, a Whitby based SaaS company, who launched their business in 2012 which became the third largest Electronic Medical Records (EMR) user base in Ontario and the largest provider of Open Source Clinical Application Resource (OSCAR) services to healthcare clinics in the country. Their cutting edge technology transformed the service that over 2100 physicians in over 560 clinics were able to give to their patients. Over 10 million patients across Ontario were given the ability to use online booking systems and self-service check-in.

In June 2019, KAI Innovations was acquired by WELL Health Technologies- owner of the largest chain of clinics in Vancouver with a focus on technology, in a multi-million dollar deal. The company stood out to WELL Health technologies because of their strong IP portfolio and naturally not only did they acquire the company but also brought on Sara and Arjun into the fold as part of their senior leadership team. KAI’s CEO, Arjun Kumar, became WELL’s Chief Information Officer, while KAI’s COO, Sara Bond, became a part of WELL’s management team as the Senior Vice President of Product Development.
