Swift Medical’s technology alleviates the global prevalence of, and challenge of treating, chronic wounds by capturing wound images and measurement without the doctor or nurse having to touch the wound. Named to CDN's Top 25 Tech Newsmakers and CDN's Top 25 Women in IT, Melissa Alvares has 20 years of experience in everything marketing, from high level creative branding to Demand Gen and sales enablement. She loves to lead and inspire marketing teams, especially ones that are new and finding their way. Melissa started her career doing marketing for an IT company, Softchoice, when the marketing team was only 10 people strong. Melissa then took her experience building and expanding marketing teams to The Ian Martin Group and Sparkrock before landing at Swift Medical a little over 2 years ago. Starting with building the employer brand and using DemandGen techniques to drive a huge post-Series A recruitment campaign, she then worked to build out Swift's direct marketing strategy across multiple verticals with a focus on extremely tight sales and marketing alignment.
