Calling all innovative startups in East London, ZA! 🚀 Join the Startup Grind East London, ZA All-Star Pitch Battle 2025, part of the premier global competition to crown the Startup of the Year in our city. This is your chance to showcase your tech-driven, scalable startup to a local and global audience, compete for incredible prizes, and pitch in front of Silicon Valley VCs for the title of All-Star Champion!
The East London, ZA Chapter Pitch Battle is your first step to the global stage. Local winners will advance to the Industry Category Semi-Finals (virtual, September 24, 2025) and potentially the Global Final at the Startup Grind AI Summit 2025 (October 1, 2025). Don’t miss this opportunity to gain exposure, connect with investors, and elevate your startup!
Tech-driven startups with scalable business models and an MVP or live product.
Revenue is preferred but not required.
Open to startups from East London, ZA and surrounding areas. If your city isn’t listed, select “Other City (not listed)” in the application dropdown, and we’ll connect with you if a new chapter joins.
1-minute pitch with 1 slide.
Held in-person or virtually (details to be confirmed on the East London, ZA Chapter page).
Pitches will be evaluated by local judges based on scalability, innovation, impact, and pitch delivery.

Local Recognition: Win the title of East London, ZA Startup of the Year and get featured on the Startup Grind East London, ZA YouTube channel for 12 months.
Global Exposure: Qualify for the Global Pitch Battle (February 2026) and compete in the Industry Category Semi-Finals.
Prizes for Winners:
Chapter Winners: Featured in a 1-2 minute pitch video on the Startup Grind YouTube channel (83.6k+ subscribers) and automatic qualification for the Global Pitch Battle.
Semi-Finalists: Pitch virtually in one of three Industry Categories (Software & AI, Consumer Tech & Media, or Deep Tech, Climate & Frontier) on September 24, 2025.
Finalists (Top 3): Pitch live at the AI Summit (5k+ global audience), receive a Digital Finalist Badge, get a Full Access Pass to the Startup Grind Conference (April 27-29, 2026), and more.
All-Star Champion: Showcase on the AI Summit mainstage, curated 1:1 investor meetings, VIP access to Silicon Valley networking events, and a Startup Bundle Pass to the Startup Grind Conference.
