Background and Rationale

The International MSEs Day is a global event that highlights the critical role of Micro and

Small Enterprises (MSEs) in driving economic growth, innovation, and job creation.

This year, 2024, the event will be celebrated with a special focus on the role of MSEs in fostering a green and technologically advanced future. Uasin Gishu County, within NOREB, has been selected as the host of this significant event.

This year's theme, "MSEs Role for a Green Technologically Competitive Future," underscores the importance of sustainable practices and technological advancements among MSEs.

The event aims to promote eco-friendly business practices, encourage technological innovation, and provide a platform for MSEs to showcase their contributions to a green economy.

Opening Ceremony

• Welcome Remarks: NOREB Secretariat representative.
• Keynote Addresses: Governors from NOREB counties
• Keynote speaker (Hon Simon Chelugui, EGH)

Exhibitions & Trade Fair

• Product displays, technology demonstrations, and networking sessions.
• Participant MSEs from NOREB counties, Jua Kali sector, green technology companies, financial institutions, and government agencies.

Tree Planting

• Location: Designated areas in Uasin Gishu County.
