Meet the Founder of a CES Honoree IoT Product Company

A second-generation entrepreneur, Herman Yau co-founded Tend that develops award-winning smart home lifestyle products. A 3-time consecutive CES Innovation Award Honoree (2015, 2016, 2017), Herman was also named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2015. He is a graduate of Cornell University, earning both a BA in Computer Science and Master of Engineering in Computer Science.

Under his leadership, Tend's products have been awarded CES Innovation Honoree 3 years in a row and is available at most major US retailers.

With a diverse background of working in both technology and non-profit, his core passion is having technology serve and impact people's lives in a positive way. He has built Tend to reflect that core value, building products and services to help people tend to their loved ones. Today, Tend serves over a million families globally through tier-one ISPs like British Telecom and Singtel as well as individual consumers.
