About this event

Have a great idea but not sure how to go about establishing the startup and pursue the path to fundraising during difficult Economic times? Join us virtually on Sept 17th and bring your questions. Our rockstar speaker Nimish Mehta will break this down for you and share his perspective on all of the above and much more. He is a serial entrepreneur and a former VC and has raised several rounds of funds for his early startups. He played a key role in taking 3 companies to the path of a successful EXIT (acquisition); one as the CEO of the company and two as the advisor.

Nimish Mehta is a president and co-founder at Fortella (formerly Datalaab). He is also concurrently CEO and co-founder at LumenData.

He was a Partner at Monta Vista Capital. He has played a key role in taking 3 companies to the path of a successful EXIT (acquisition); one as the CEO of the company and two as the advisor.  Prior to this, he has held senior executive positions at major high-tech companies. He was a Senior VP at SAP, Group VP at Siebel Systems, CEO at Stratify, Inc. (acquired by Iron Mountain); and a Senior VP at Oracle Corporation, where he reported directly to CEO Larry Ellison.

Nimish has also served as a member of technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories. As part of his Master’s thesis at the University of Toronto, Nimish invented the multi-touch technology found in most mobile phones, tablets, and laptops today. Nimish holds an MSEE from the University of Toronto, an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
