Join us for our 100th event and meet Kevin Cadette, Black Angels Miami's former Executive Director in Commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day.

As we're launching our slate of events for 2024, we are proud to invite you to the celebration of the 100th event our Chapter has hosted since its inception almost 10 years ago. Come and celebrate with us and join us for a festive meal, share memories, and learn of our plans for the future of our chapter.

Having covered Angel and Venture Capital investing in prior events, we will have our guest speaker, Kevin Cadette, lead us in a discussion on Private Equity, how it works, and how founders can best position their startups to benefit from this investment class. 

We will also commemorate MLK Day (Jan 15th) by reflecting on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s fight for economic justice in the wake of the US Supreme Court's gutting of Affirmative Action in college admissions, and the recent revelations about Big Tech retreating on their DEI commitments. There's no one more qualified than the former founding executive director of Black Angels Miami to give us insight into the impact of access to capital on minority entrepreneurship and its future.

About Kevin Cadette
Kevin is a start-up industry veteran and technology leader. Formerly leading Black Angels Miami as its Executive Director and founder of multiple start-ups, he was a technology executive with multiple Fortune 50 companies. His experience spans a wide spectrum from bootstrapped start-ups to global corporations.

You can park in style at Axis Space by using the valet at a flat $10 rate (30-car limit) or across the street in the municipal garage at the City of Fort Lauderdale Las Olas Parking Garage (1-minute walk) for $5 after hour flat rate.
