Learn how to get involved with local innovators, invest in African innovation and explore ways to support innovation on the continent. The panel session co-hosted by Daba - a leading investment platform for Africa - brings together an exciting panel that promises an exciting conversation. Pitching Application Pitching is open to African tech startup founders currently living in or outside of the sub-Saharan African continent. 6 founders will be selected on April 25th to pitch based on business model viability, team dynamics, founder(s) video submission, traction, prototype/product execution. AFROBITS SOUTH FLORIDA: BUILDING BRIDGES. A JOURNEY INTO GLOBAL AFRICAN INNOVATION
The African continent and diaspora are thriving with so much variety and innovation, we can barely do it justice with just one event. This event will act as a launchpad, building one of many bridges that will connect global African innovation with US partners, resources, as well as opportunities and vice versa. Expect many more African country-specific events to follow.
We’re celebrating African culture by making AFROBITS SOUTH FLORIDA an immersive African experience that will saturate your senses with AfroBites, traditional African bites, and drinks, as well as AfroBeats music and ambiance while also featuring several AfroBits tech sessions including a global pitch contest, panels, and unique networking opportunities.
To satisfy our global audience’s interest in attending the Global Pitch Battle, The AFROBITS SOUTH FLORIDA pitching session will be a hybrid segment. Our global audience will attend virtually through our virtual event platform. All other sessions will be held in person at Venture Cafe Miami.
