About this event

FROM DEMO TO DEPLOYMENT: AI THAT ACTUALLY SHIPS

  • Who: South Florida AI founders with working products
  • What: Boston AI Week Founder Showcase + Commercialization Exchange
  • Where: Boston, Massachusetts OR Virtual
  • Presented by: Startup Grind South Florida x Startup Grind Boston and ecosystem partners
  • Applications: Open to qualifying South Florida AI startups
  • Selection: 3 South Florida companies

This Hybrid event will bring together a curated group of 6 AI companies, primarily from Boston with selected South Florida founders participating as part of a growing cross-market exchange.
Rather than delivering a traditional investor pitch, participating companies will demonstrate working AI products and discuss what they have learned taking those products from prototype toward real-world deployment and commercialization. South Florida founders do not have to travel to Boston to pitch and can join virtually.

We want to understand not only what you built, but what happens when the technology meets the market.
Selected founders should be prepared to answer three questions:
1. What real problem does your product solve?
Show us a specific business, customer, industry, or societal problem rather than AI technology in search of a use case.
2. Can you show us the product working?
We are prioritizing companies that can demonstrate an actual product, platform, workflow, agent, application, or deployed AI system.
3. What have you learned getting customers to actually use and pay for it?
Tell us about pilots, implementations, customer conversations, adoption barriers, pricing, sales, partnerships, deployments, or revenue.

๐ŸŽฏ Expected Outcomes

Selected founders should leave the program with more than event exposure.

  • ๐Ÿš€ Showcase Your Product in Boston
  • ๐ŸŒŽ Expand Beyond South Florida
  • ๐Ÿค Develop Customer & Partner Relationships
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Build Investor Relationships
  • ๐Ÿง  Gain Commercialization Insights
  • ๐Ÿข Explore Enterprise Opportunities
  • ๐ŸŽ“ Connect With the Boston Innovation Ecosystem
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Generate Market Intelligence
  • ๐Ÿ”— Become Part of the Boston ร— South Florida AI Exchange

๐Ÿ“‹ Who Should Apply?

We are looking for South Florida AI companies that have moved beyond the idea stage.

  • You do not need to attend in person.
  • You do not need to be a heavily funded company.
  • You do not need to have millions in revenue.
  • You do need something real to show.
  • Strong applicants will typically have:
  • A functional AI-powered product
  • A clearly defined customer problem
  • A compelling real-world use case
  • The ability to demonstrate the product
  • Early users, pilots, customers, partnerships, or deployments
  • Evidence that people want the solution
  • A founder capable of communicating both the technology and the business
  • A clear reason why exposure to Boston could help the company
  • Companies with revenue are encouraged to apply, but fundraising history and capital raised will not be the primary selection criteria.
