Startup Grind Georgetown Guyana will be hosting another dynamic ‘Fireside Chat and Networking Forum,’ at WeOwn Space on Tuesday May 16, 2017 from 18:00 HRS. Addressing many of the challenges facing Guyanese Entrepreneurs, the much anticipated event will feature one of Guyana’s Iconic Designers, Dr. Sonia Noel.

Dr. Noel, who is celebrating 20 years in the fashion industry, has been presented with many accolades locally, regionally and even internationally, for entrepreneurship, philanthropy, cultural ambassadorial services, advancing creative enterprise, promoting competitive- worthy fashion design and youth empowerment. During the Fireside Chat on May 16, the local chapter Director Hilary Benjamin-Byer and Dr. Noel will not only discuss the challenges facing entrepreneurs in Guyana, but the avenues that can be taken to overcome those hurdles. Dr. Noel will also be sharing her life story on how she moved from being a small town girl to a renowned designer.

The event will be held at a time when Startup Grind is recognizing some of leading female entrepreneurs in 200 cities across the world. It also comes two months after Startup Grind Georgetown Guyana successfully hosted its inaugural event which was attended by Guyana’s Minister of Public Telecommunication Cathy Hughes along with some of the leading entrepreneurs in the country.
