The Georgetown Guyana Startup Grind Chapter will be hosting their first event at weOwn Space with guest speaker being none other than Mr. Eldon Marks - a social entrepreneur, software developer, educator and dreamer. He is passionate about creating impact through community service and the empowerment of others. He designs and builds software and loves doing it. He has worked for over a decade to transfer knowledge and mentor students in the field of Computer Science. He is a dreamer who chooses to see only in possibilities and does this actively to make his ideas happen.

He completed his undergraduate Degree in Computer Science at the University of Guyana and pursued a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Howard University, Washington D.C. At Howard he specialized in Artificial Intelligence and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010. He is the founder of Version75 Solutions, a tech community disguised as a company; the co-founder of weOwn space, a shared office space and ecosystem for entrepreneurs; and has served as a lecturer and mentor to students of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Guyana for the past twelve years.
