End of Year Celebration & Build Local, Think Global Pitch Battle Winner Announcement

Wednesday 2 December 2026 | 6:30pm
Borealis Room, Sunborn Gibraltar

When Startup Grind Gibraltar began in 2017, the idea was simple. Bring founders, entrepreneurs and the business community together, share experiences and create opportunities for others. Almost ten years later, that purpose hasn't changed. We've welcomed entrepreneurs, business leaders, students, investors and people who were simply curious about what might be possible. We've celebrated successes, learned from setbacks and navigated our own ups and downs along the way.

Not everything has worked, and not every idea has taken off. But we've always believed that when something is missing from our community, there's value in trying to create it rather than waiting for someone else to do so. Over the years, we've built much more than a calendar of events. We've built friendships, opened doors, shared knowledge and brought people into conversations they might otherwise never have had.

We make friends, not contacts. We give first. We help others.

As we approach the end of 2026, we'd like to take a moment to celebrate that community and thank everyone who has contributed to it. Our partners, sponsors, speakers, mentors, volunteers and attendees have all played a part, often giving their time, experience and support without expecting anything in return.

This year also marks the second edition of our Build Local, Think Global Pitch Battle, which attracted 25 applications, an 150% increase compared with ten last year.

During the evening, we'll recognise our six finalists and announce the winner of the £5,000 seed funding prize, celebrating not just the winning startup but everyone who was selected to pitch at the final.

Most importantly, we'd like to bring everyone together once more before the year ends. No formalities, no expectations. Just familiar faces, new friendships and an opportunity to enjoy the company of people who believe in supporting one another.

Whether you've been with us since the beginning or have only recently discovered Startup Grind Gibraltar, you're part of the conversation. Join us on Wednesday 2 December at 6:30pm at the Sunborn Gibraltar. Build Local, Think Global.
