Our October Fireside Chat guests are Elicia Bravo CSO Lottoland & Peter Montegriffo QC, a senior partner at Hassans International Law Firm. Peter was Gibraltar's Minister for Trade and Industry, responsible for economic development and financial services, between May 1996 and February 2000 so we will chat about the arrival of global e-gaming giants to Gibraltar 20 years ago and the early stages of incorporating these businesses locally, we will also ask Peter about his thoughts on the e-gaming industry locally after Brexit.
Elicia Bravo returned to her hometown Gibraltar to join Lottoland as Chief Strategy Officer. Elicia has over 7 years of international finance legal experience representing corporates, sovereigns and top-tier investment banks in a variety of multijurisdictional debt and equity-linked transactions. After a BA in law at Oxford University Elicia went on to qualify as both a UK and a NY lawyer. She joined the company at a time of unprecedented growth and plays a leading role in developing, communicating, executing and sustaining strategic initiatives across the business including corporate governance matters. We will hear about how in just 5 years as a locally based startup, Lottoland has become a leader in the industry .

Peter was closely involved in the IPOs relating to various gaming companies established in Gibraltar and listed on the London Stock Exchange. Peter has also been closely involved in drafting numerous changes to Gibraltar's legislation in trusts, financial services and gaming areas. This broad area of work regularly requires him to deal with multiple jurisdictions as a result of which the firm has built a considerable bank of international knowledge in tax and private client arrangements.
Graduated from Leeds University. Attended Inns of Court School of Law as a member of Lincoln's Inn. Qualified as a Barrister in 1982. Became a Partner of Hassans in 1988. Peter was Gibraltar's Minister for Trade and Industry, responsible for economic development and financial services, between May 1996 and February 2000.
Contributed to a large number of articles and books on Gibraltar' s legal system and financial services sector. A regular speaker at international conferences relating to these areas of practice.
Currently she is the Chief Strategy Officer of Lottoland established in 2013 with the Head Office based in Gibraltar, a worldwide hub for the online gaming industry.
