The End of Year “Build Local, Think Global” Pitch Battle was launched to give startups and small businesses the platform, visibility and real-world support needed to turn ideas into impact.

The Pitch Battle Launch Event in September, brought together entrepreneurs, mentors and industry leaders. From there, a mentoring process evolved naturally applicants gravitated toward mentors whose experience aligned with their goals and business stage. This organic matching allowed genuine connections to form and created an environment where collaboration came before competition.

Over the past weeks, participants have refined their ideas, received feedback on their business plans, and developed their confidence to take the stage. Every applicant, whether selected as a finalist or not has been encouraged to gain value from the process and mentorship.

This is culminating on the 20th November live Pitch Battle Finals aboard the Sunborn Gibraltar. Ten local startups will pitch live, Dragon’s Den style, to a distinguished judging panel, business leaders and live audience.

Each finalist will have five minutes to present their business idea, followed by a short Q&A with the judges. At stake: a £5,000 first prize and a £1,000 runner-up prize, both aimed at helping these founders take the next step toward building and scaling their ventures.
